Wild turkey gone wild in Nw Jersey

New Jersey is home to a lot of things. It's known for lots of malls, strange smells and turkeys gone wild. In the last month, Tammy the turkey has been running along a section of the NJ Turnpike.

Spotted near Jersey City, NJ by exit 14B, Tammy has been dodging traffic and Wildlife officials that have been trying to capture her.

Perhaps she is scared of being cooked for Thanksgiving dinner. I don't blame her! Run, run, run as fast as you can! She could be trying to go back to her native home of Staten Island. (Hm, she seems to be going in the right direction, just go towards the Bridge!)

Miss. Tammy has been causing lots of traffic, which makes rush hour even crazier on the very busy Turnpike.

Luckily, she was caught over the weekend and safely transported to a South Jersey zoo where she will reside with Gobbler the male turkey. (Not a bad deal Miss Tammy. You get yourself a handsome male.)

If you live in the area, did you see Tammy the turkey? What would you do if you saw a wild turkey on the road?
